Eboni Harris to Lead New Program |
Cicily Huskey, DNP, MSN, FNP-BC, BSN, RN, member, Midlands of South Carolina Black Nurses Association, graduated from MUSC's College of Nursing Doctoral program with a Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree on Dec. 10, 2020. Her Doctoral project was entitled: "Improving Nurse Adherence to a Fall Prevention Protocol to Decresae Patient Falls on a Cardiac Unit". Her Doctoral paper is currently under a peer review process with the Journal of Clinical Nursing. Her future ambitions is to continue her role as a Family Nurse Practitioner with a focus on cardiac medicine and to obtain an Associate Professor role within a Nursing MSN or DNP program.

Eboni Herbert Harris, PhD, APRN, FNP-BS, Secretary, Midlands of South Carolina Black Nurses Association, has been named as the director of the University of SC, College of Nursing’s new Master’s Entry to Practice Nursing (MEPN). The first in SC, the program will prepare non-nurse baccalaureate prepared individuals to enter the nursing profession as master’s degree graduates. This unique program provides the opportunity to gain education and experience as a direct-care provider of nursing in a variety of settings. Graduates will be eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX).
